Last summer, we spoke with Rhode Islanders through surveys, focus groups, and interviews to understand what’s really driving the crisis in our state.
People told us about working multiple jobs and still struggling to afford rent, about healthcare costs forcing impossible choices, and about leaders who talk about solutions but don’t follow through.
Across age, background, and party lines, the message was clear: people can’t keep up with the rising costs.
That’s where Affordable Rhode Island comes in. Together, we’re going to change the face of who makes decisions in Rhode Island. We will support and put more working people in elected positions to make the government actually work for people like us.
