A working-class voice. A community advocate. A neighbor who cares.

Veronicka Vega has called Woonsocket home for nearly half her life. Raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to support their family, she understands the challenges working families face and the importance of strong community support. As a first-generation college graduate with a degree in public health, she has built her career in community development and dedicated her time to organizations serving Rhode Island communities.

She's running for State Representative to make housing more attainable, healthcare and childcare more accessible, public schools stronger, and life more affordable for working families. She'll bring her community's needs with her to the State House, fighting for the neighbors, friends, and families who call Woonsocket and North Smithfield home.

What she will fight for

  • Stronger public schools for every child in the district

  • New jobs for Northern Rhode Island

  • A protected environment for the next generation

  • Serving on the boards of Sojourner House, the Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative, and McAuley Ministries

In addition to supporting the Affordable RI core agenda, Veronicka has committed to these pro working people policies.

Ban Flock cameras and mass surveillance

Protecting Rhode Islanders' privacy by banning Flock cameras and mass surveillance accessible by the federal government and managed by a private business.

Ban large data centers

Banning large data centers that strain our infrastructure and will increase energy and water costs.

Let's elect a real champion for working Rhode Islanders.
