Nelly Burdette for
State Senate
Dr. Nelly Burdette is a psychologist and first-generation immigrant who brings real-life experience to public service. She is not a career politician. For the past two decades, she has worked directly with people and families, helping them navigate healthcare, housing, and economic challenges.

A healthcare leader and a problem solver. A neighbor to represent our values.
Nelly came to this country as a first-generation immigrant and moved to Rhode Island twenty years ago, raising three children in Lincoln. She is a clinical health psychologist who has spent more than twenty years with people at their most vulnerable: patients navigating illness, families facing housing instability, and neighbors trying to get care that should be easier to reach.
Today she is Chief Clinical Officer at the Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island and still sees patients at a community health center, work that is all about healthcare access and affordability. She is not a career politician, and she's backing the Affordable RI agenda to change what she sees every day. Housing people can afford to stay in, healthcare and childcare that don't eat a paycheck, fully funded public schools, and wages that make full-time work enough.
Paid for by Affordable RI, not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.
